It's a good thing I'm not doing the Novel writign month.  I feel like I can barely string two sentences together these days. 

I'm starting to copy and paste stuff from livejournal and myspace.   *g*

A flurry of heath updates from family.   Paternal grandmother has been diagnosed with Alzheimers, not a surprise, really.   She has been steadily declining for a long time.  Aunt Sheila is arranging to have her stay in an assisted living facility here in town. 

Big sister has fibroids and is taking a couple of test before she undergoes the treatment to shrink the fibroids.

Great Uncle John (who is 95) and his wife Arlene are planning to move to a nursing home in Washington State, to be near their daughter.  Uncle John is still battling pneumonia and Arlene broke her hip.  I gather they are spending megabucks to be specially transported via medical helicopter. 

Other family is doing well as far as I know.  My nephew girlfriend has gotten her old full-time job back,which will help a lot, moneywise.  She is taking online classes as well.  My niece is considering going to college, so there might be hope yet we'll have someone in the family other than me who has finished college.  *g*

The weather was beautiful today in NE Ohio, so I went for a hike at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

I'll be flying to Rome and I have a handful of flight options/layover cities and was looking for some feedback. Here are my options:

Delta thru Atlanta with a 40 minute layover outbound, 2.5 hours inbound (I probably won't take that one b/c I have missed connections in ATL b/c of my inbound flight being delayed before)

Delta thru New York/JFK with a 55 minute layover outbound, 2+ hour layover inbound

Continental thru Newark with a 2.5 hour layover each way

American to Miami, 2.5 hour layover in Miami, Alitalia from Miami to Rome. Return: Alitalia from Rome to Miami, 4 hour layover, Continental Express from Miami to Tampa.

On that note, I'm not a big fan of Delta but think Continental is okay, at least domestically. But is anyone familiar with Alitalia?

My father just started a low carb diet. And I wanted to give him a week of home cooked delicious meals for his birthday (with a cookbook so he could repeat the recipes).
