One of my favorite things to is watching freezing smokers getting their fix, and there were a fair few looking miserably cold but still kept at it. I'm sure some of them wouldn't go out for milk if they were home sick, but they would drag themselves out to get a packet og ciggies, even in blistering cold and snow.

Or maybe I'm just getting cynical with age!

I'm afraid I have some casualties to announce. The gingerbread people suffered some /multiple injuries. Caused in some part by too eager-ness in extracting them from the baking tin. I may have to start again with them....

They were chocolate chip gingerbread people. I should maybe taste them before I do that again!

Snowmen they ain't but they probably taste good. (I was very good tonight, I didn't taste ..... oh I've just remembered some dates I ate. oops.)

With kirkintilloch band... most of whom were worried about being stuck in snow going home. So the service was cut short as the snow fell.... and fell....

but we still had A singing. She'd asked me to go down as moral support (long story but she was very upset the other day and thought she'd never sing in public again.)

anyway, the Snow Stops Service will be a talking point for a while! (we got home fine but E took ages to do 8 miles from Kirkie to Sighthill.)

I wasn't fussed on the whole battle against Simon Cowell, I was more so excited to actually hear a song I liked on the charts. I also think that they've done a fantastic thing, giving most of the royalties to charity.
